Visit to Lincoln Medical School

Recently I visited the Lincoln Medical School to see the progress on the new Lincolnshire Institute for Dental and Oral Health, and I left feeling genuinely energised about what this new facility can deliver.

Meeting the team, and trying the full‑size virtual anatomy tables for myself, I felt proud to see how far we’ve this has come and push it to the next level.

This is a first for the East Midlands. A dedicated institute for dental and oral health, built right here in our county, backed by £1.4 million of UK Shared Prosperity Fund investment delivered through the Greater Lincolnshire CCA.

Young people in Lincolnshire deserve the chance to train for high‑quality careers without having to leave home. Devolution gives us the power to make those choices for ourselves, and I’m using that power to deliver real change.

From September, the first students will begin their journey here, using cutting‑edge digital and simulation technology, these facilities rival the very best in the country, and they will help us grow our own talent and strengthen our workforce.
