Yesterday I visited the fantastic South Kesteven District Council Skills Summit to meet young people who are taking their first steps towards future careers.
Building skills is central to what I am doing as Mayor. By bringing education providers, employers and local partners together, we are creating clear pathways into work, apprenticeships and training so young people can build good careers close to home and local businesses can access the skills they need.
I want to thank Cllr Ashley Baxter for organising these events and South Kesteven District Council for their leadership in bringing together schools, colleges, employers and partners to inspire the district’s future workforce.
This is exactly the kind of collaboration that helps us grow talent, strengthen our economy and secure a bright future for Greater Lincolnshire.
