Whilst growth is on the decline nationally, in Lincolnshire we have the opportunity to buck the trend by pursuing a growth agenda by backing our amazing industries.

Today, I had the privilege of visiting the AgTech Centre at the University of Lincoln’s Riseholme campus, and I was absolutely blown away by the incredible innovation happening right here in Lincolnshire.

From Agaricus Robotics, which uses cutting-edge technology to pick mushrooms, to FruitCast, which scans crops to predict yields and reduce waste – these are world-class solutions shaping the future of agriculture.

These are truly world-leading technologies and are ripe for investment to become global leading companies.

Lincolnshire feeds Britain, and with this level of ambition and ingenuity, we have the perfect foundation to grow AgTech into a globally leading industry. I’m committed to working with the University and local businesses to make this vision a reality.
