Innovation that saves lives and transforms waste – right here in Greater Lincolnshire!

I was honoured

ree

to visit Fairman Knight and Sons, the UK’s largest and most innovative commercial-scale insect farming business, now operating from their impressive new premises near Holbeach.

Here’s what makes them extraordinary:

Upcycling 60,000 tonnes of surplus food waste every year.

Producing high-grade insect protein and fertiliser for the UK market

Creating bio-oil with antimicrobial peptides that fight bacteria like MRSA

Award-winning technology leading the world in sustainability

Investing in people through DWP swap schemes, ex-forces employment, and apprenticeships with Boston College

This innovation means a lot to me personally. My father, Clifford, sadly passed away from MRSA, so seeing solutions that could help prevent such infections in the future is truly inspiring.

It was fantastic to meet the team behind this groundbreaking work and see first-hand how Greater Lincolnshire is leading the way in innovation, sustainability, and job creation.

Let’s continue to champion businesses like Fairman Knight & Sons that put Greater Lincolnshire at the forefront of progress and opportunity!
