Building Brighter Futures at Boston College

I was absolutely thrilled to visit the brand-new Mayflower building at Boston College! This state-of-the-art hub is a total powerhouse for our community, providing world-class facilities that give students vital, real world experience.

Vocational Excellence: The Eden restaurant and 1620 Café are superb training grounds for students to develop professional skills.

I had a very productive talk with Principal Lynette Leith OBE about our shared commitment to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Local Business Engagement: It was brilliant to give a spur-of-the-moment talk to over 50 local businesses from across our region who are driven to see our area succeed!

Future Opportunities: I am proud to support the college’s work in creating meaningful pathways into employment, including offering to host a 'supported' work experience for those with special needs in the future.
